I'm a Philadelphia area born and raised artist and US Army Vet. I grew up in a house hold with a great appreciation for the arts instilled by my Mother who is a very talented artist. I was trained at The Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, US, where I majored in Printmaking and Art Education. Studying Art education had me trained as a well rounded artist with many skills, one of which in particular being Photography.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
The skeleton is a reoccurring theme in my work. The skeleton is the foundation of the human body. Like any foundation, structurally it is the base of what holds a structure together. Metaphorically, the foundation is what a person can always rely on when everything else is broken down and stripped away. The skeleton is a person at their most true, when all material items, superficial values and distractions have been taken away we find we all have a very similar foundation to what is important to us.
I studied many different media techniques including printmaking, photography, and painting. one of which in particular being Photography. The art of Printmaking and particularly wood block printing allowed me to discover my love for working with wood. That love has evolved into the wood cuts and pyrography pieces I produce today.
I have shown in many venues and galleries all over the city of Philadelphia including One Liberty Plaza, 2424 Studios, Deja 42 rt Gallery, First Friday events, Philly Underground, and continue to do so. I have sold works locally, nationally and internationally. I am also a proud exhibiter of BuyVet.org which is an organization with a mission for Veterans supporting Veterans in their pursuit of entrepreneurship.
